Cryme Records is an International music label which deals mainly in the production of Hip- Hop and 'GH Rap' music from Ghana, West-Africa and England, UK. Cryme Records further deals in Artists Development and Management and Worldwide music Distribution. The Label was founded in Manchester, England on 23 January 2009 by CEO Basty Cryme and also has an office based in Accra, Ghana and is overseen by President and Artist Eli Tettey a.k.a IsCream. Our aim is to become the most successful Label in Ghana by 2014. Current artists include IsCream, bra Kevin Beats and Taurian Deveaux,Greenfield, Looney the TKR. Our vision is to create a brand sound, which is competitive in Ghana, Africa and the rest of world

After graduating from school, he pursued a career in music production, making beats for his new group “ill gutters” which was made up of Padlock now known as T.J.Humphery, Baza now known as Slick Willy and Martin Gold who is now into magazine printing. Since all members attended secondary schools in the Eastern Region of Ghana, they performed in almost every school in the east region of Ghana and will go onto gaining a lot of popularity among students with their banging high school hit “soldier” produced by Jayso and few other songs on their first mixtape.

bra Kevin who at this point had established a great relationship with Jayso, joined the Skillions. Padlock, lil Shaker and other members will later join the Skillions and thus Skillions New Generation was formed consisting of 9 rappers and 1 singer. Their first mixtape “The New Generation Mixtape” was the defining moment for most members of the group especially Kevin and Lil Shaker who were very influential in the production of the mixtape.

After the release of “The New Generation Mixtape” mixtape, Kevin dropped his first ever solo single, “Riddle Riddle”, which received massive airplay throughout Ghana , and especially on most radio morning shows which discussed politics and current affairs due to its hard lyrical content and with a concept based on political satire which everyone in the country could relate to. He has appeared on almost every hit mixtape in the country and working with established and up and coming artistes like Jtown (No Mask), Klu Babe (I am Klu Babe), Lil Shaker (The Birthday Mixtape) just to mention a few. He also recently featured on the latest D-Black album Music, Love & Life.

bra Kevin has recently signed a recording deal with Cryme Records and is set to release his first solo project under his new label titled ’16 in 1’. In October 2010, bra Kevin Beats released his first ever video, 3 Headed Beast (Freestyle) which has received massive airplay on TV throughout Ghana and is also in circulation on the continent on such premiere video channels such as MTVBase and Channel O.

Having dominated the underground scene in the last 5 years, bra Kevin Beats is ready to raise the bar in standards in the music industry in Ghana and beyond her borders. His forthcoming debut release ’16 in 1’ is one of the most anticipated albums of all time.

Greenfield

Greenfield is without doubt one of the most creative and explosive Hip Hop artists to come from Africa by way of Ghana.
The talented artistic rap duo of Ali and iLL Big, have, in a period where questions have been asked about the ‘state of health’ in the hip hop genre, maintained the founding principles in hip hop by ensuring lyrical content, concepts and delivery , is always present in every single one of their songs.

Having performed on various stages and in shows across Ghana, Ali and iLL Big and Greenfield for that matter, bring a whole lot of experience in song writing and spectacular live show performances and in doing so bringing audiences the whole package.

Currently working on finishing their debut album ‘Green state of Mind’, Greenfield is set to cause massive shake up on the hip hop scene in africa and the rest of the world.
The album showcases their versatility in song writing and composition . Songs like ‘No Go Lie’, ‘Maya’, ‘Finish Line’ ,will without question mark a new era in the standard of hip hop music in africa, on their releases later in 2010. JTown, D-Black, E.L are just a few featured artists on the album, Green state of Mind.

In recent years Ali and iLL Big have worked with several hip hop artists in Ghana such as Jay-So, E.L, and J.Town, D-Black on tracks like ‘Feel The Vibe’ and ‘Keep Dancing’ on the ‘The Skillions Demotapes’ which received favorable airplay in africa and the rest of the world. Ali born Jamal Ali and iLL Big born William Yankson,have since their early teens been huge admirers of hip hop music.they met back at a hip hop show in brooklyn back in the states and it was only a matter of time for the 2 to link up and form the group Greenfield.
Christmas 2008, Ceo of Cryme Records Basty Cryme, will receive songs by Greenfield from his friend Alugi, who was visiting him in Manchester from Ghana. After hearing the songs, Basty Cryme had no hesitation in making the decision to offer recording contracts to Ali and iLL Big and Greenfield.
